Our Puppies

“Let’s not measure a breeder’s success by the amount of winning their dogs do in the show ring, but by the number of dogs that stay with the family that purchased them as a puppy and that die in the arms of that same family, 14 years later. In that case, we have three winners... The breeder, the family and most importantly, the dog.” ~unknown

Before we consider a dog for breeding, they must pass the Orthopedic Foundation of Animals (OFA) hip and elbow clearances,  CAER eye exam & Echocardiogram.

With DNA testing we also screen for the genes that contribute to:
Copper Toxicosis - CT
Exercise Induced Collapse - EIC
Centronuclear Myopathy - CNM
Progressive Retinal Atrophy - PRA
Hereditary Nasal Parakeratosis - HNPK
Degenerative Myelopathy - DM
Retinal Dysplasia/Oculoskeletal Dysplasia 1 - RD/OSD1
Skeletal Dysplasia 2 - SD2
Macular Corneal Dystrophy - MCD
Stargardt - STGD
And can guarantee that our puppies will be “non-affected” for these conditions.

Our puppies are born and raised inside our home. They are handled daily, from birth and are very well socialized. We don’t allow our puppies to receive outside visitors until 5 weeks. Although, because of our large family, complete with grandchildren, they never lack for love and attention.

We are a small breeder and only breed 1 to 2  litters a year. Puppies may be spoken for before they are born by people on our waiting list. We always retain the right to keep a first pick puppy from each litter.

All puppies are sold with an AKC Limited Registration. They come to you vet checked, with their 1st set of shots, wormed, and microchipped through AKC Reunite.
